Measurement helps to obtain qualitative and quantitative information about objects, phenomenon, systems and attributes to ascertain the extent, dimension or magnitude of something with precision. In the new economics environment, every organization is emphasizing more on quality production, innovative and smart market strategies and coping with the pressure of technology change. Keeping the above in mind the programme has been designed. The methodology ensures thorough understanding of testing procedures and involves modern training techniques-lectures, sample demonstration, experimental exercises and syndicate group discussions.

Objectives:

  • Understand various aspects of psychological testings.
  • Gain skills through self practice on variety of tests.
  • Gain information regarding availability of various tests needed.

4. Acquire knowledge regarding the adaptation and translation of foreign made test to suit the local requirements.

Course Content :

  • Introduction / Need of psychometric tests. 2. Traits which can be assessed with tests.

3. Techniques of psychological testings.

  • Administration and adaptation.
  • Techniques of construction oftests.
  • Sources oftests availability.
  • Assessment of intelligence, emotional intelligence, personality and attitudes.
  • Scoring problems and its effects.

Methodology:

To ensure thorough understanding of the testing procedures, a combination of modern training techniques would be used.

  • Lecture
  • Sample demonstration.
  • Experiential Exercise.
  • Syndicate group Discussion.

Duration of the Course: Two lecturers every week of two hours each for three months.
