The NSS scheme is designed to provide a platform for students to engage in socially useful productive activities. The NSS inculcates qualities of leadership in the very significant area of social dynamism.

Over the last few years, the NSS chapter of Ramjas College has extended its activities to the area of health and medical support training. Within the college, camps for HIV-AIDS awareness, eye care, blood donation and prevention of female foeticide have been held. In association with the St John’ Ambulance Brigade, the NSS conducted a very well-attended certificate course in First Aid. Last year, NSS has added a new training programme for college students to develop their soft driving skills in association with Delhi Traffic Police, Sports Trax Society and Yamaha.
