Hostel
Residence
for
Women
Ramjas
College
is an equal

We have
consistently
been encouraging
girls to
excel in
every field
of engagement
in the
College.
Beginning
Academic
year 2006-2007,
the College
is making
available
80 (approximately)
hostel
seats for
women students.
While theexact
details
are being
worked
out and
will be
notified
later,
interested
women applicants
to the
College
may note
that a
separate
block will
be created
in the
existing
hostel
for boys
exclusively
for women.
Women residents
will enjoy
separate
common
areas like
Dining,
Washrooms
and Common
Room, etc.
Residence
facilities
for women
will be
of the
highest
quality,
with special
care for
their comfort
and security.

Those
who have
been residents
in the preceding
years cannot
claim admission
to the hostel
as a matter
of right.
There will
be no automatic
admission
to the Hostel
to II year
and III
year. However,
this is
not applicable
to residents
admitted
to the Hostel
in the year
(2002-2003)
or earlier.
Hostel
seats in
II year
and III
year will
be allotted
considering
performance
of the residents
in the previous
class. For
determining
performance,
weightage
would be
given to
the following:

Attendance
- Internal
Assessment
- Mid-Term
Examination
- Performance
in
the
University
Examination
- Discipline
in
the
College & Hostel
- Participation
in
the
corporate
life
of
the
College & Hostel
- Warden's
Recommendation
Recommendation
of the Department
stating
clearly
the ranking
of the student
in the College,
and in comparative
perspective
No
residents
shall be
deemed to
have satisfied
the required
conditions
in respect
of their
status as
such unless,
in addition
to the requirements
regarding
attendance,
performance
in the Mid-Term
Examination,
and the
University
Examination
and by exemplary
conduct
of good
discipline,
he/she is
able to
satisfy
the Principal
of the College
of such
conduct.
The
Principal
shall have
and shall
be deemed
to always
have the
power to
detain a
student
in the same
class in
which he
has been
studying
or not to
send him
up for the
University
Examination
or strike
off the
name of
the student
from the
College
rolls.
