Extra-curricular
Activities
We, at Ramjas College believe in the holistic development of our students. We recognize and respect
the fact that academics are not the only parameter in judging a pupil and those extra-curricular activities
play an equally important role. We therefore invite talented students who have excelled in music,
dance, dramatics, fine arts or have a flair for creative writing or debating to apply for seats earmarked
for them. In this academic session, 16 seats are available under this category.
The Extra Curricular Activities Committee admits students on the basis of their proficiency in extra curricular
activities. Candidates who wish to seek admission in this category should fill up the ECAC Admission
Form available in the college office on payment of Rs 30/- and attach the relevant documents. Registration
for the trials would be done in the College premises on a designated date (to be notified on
the College Notice Board / website).
Only registered applicants who fulfil the minimum criteria for admission set up by the University are eligible
for the trials.
The ECAC conducts trials for each category where students are required to perform / demonstrate their
talent. To qualify for the trials, a candidate must possess and show evidence of participation records or
testimonials in state/zone/inter-school activities or should have undergone professional training from recognized
institutes.
Candidates short listed on the basis of trials are called for an interview. They are ranked according to
their performance and previous achievements, as verified by their certificates. Candidates are then assigned
any of the subjects they have prioritized, as per merit. A waitlist is also prepared. Once admitted
it will be understood that they are not interested in seeking admission to another College.
