Chemistry

The department has many achievements to its credit ever since its inception many decades back. It offers instructions at B.Sc (Hons); B.Sc (Gen.) and B.Sc (Environmental Science) Courses. Students are also admitted in the department for pursuing M.Sc. Course in Chemistry with specialization in various branches of Pure and Applied Chemistry. It takes pride in the fact that large number of students who have studied with the faculty are doing extremely well in various walks of life. The distinguished faculty have specialization in Co-ordination Compounds, Polymer Chemistry, Solid-State ,Bio-Inorganic Chemistry, Chemistry of Natural products, Quantum Mechanism, Spectroscopy etc. Some members also have to their credit having supervised students for their research work leading to a doctoral degree.
